There are as many dimensions to running an organization or a program as there are to developing a wellness culture. Best practice organizations create loyalty among their clients, residents and workforce through management strategies that enable every function in the organization to contribute to the whole-person wellness culture.

ICAA provides practical management tools and a connection to leaders in activity aging. Use these tools to develop all areas of your organization: wellness, activities, resident services, social services, therapy, fitness, administration.

  • Use the analysis of wellness job descriptions and ICAA’s industry salary survey for solid information on salaries, education, experience and other key markers needed to recruit and develop the wellness workforce. Data covers wellness, activities, fitness, program and management positions.
  • Build the business case for wellness using ICAA’s industry surveys on wellness programs, facility development and equipment. Make a long-term commitment to quality improvement and best practices by participating in the ICAA/ProMatura Wellness Industry Benchmarks. These indicators of the contribution of wellness to the organization’s business objectives track your program as well as the industry.

    • trends and customer service in articles authored by veteran managers, available to all ICAA members in the Articles Archive.

  • Focus staff development specifically on the goals of your organization and the needs of older adults by providing staff with regular access to industry-defining publications: The Journal on Active Aging,® Functional U® and ICAA Research Review.
  • Bring an active-aging expert to your location through the ICAA Speakers Bureau, which features first-rate presenters who can providing training and inspiration on topics such as research and programming, communication skills, assessments, facility operations and design.
  • To gain individualized advice and staff training, turn to ICAA Consulting services. ICAA staff members offer a diverse set of skills and experiences that can be applied to help your organization reach its goals.
