Back to releases

[Vancouver, BC] Starting a wellness program or interested in improving the one already in place? Better mark June 17 in your calendar. That’s the day ICAA - International Council on Active Aging® - will be hosting a virtual summit focusing on program design, case studies, marketing suggestions and other important information for older-adult organizations seeking expert guidance on programming.

The summit takes place from 9:00 to 1:30 PDT and lasts about 4.5 hours, including breaks. Sessions will begin with a look at older-adult wellness programs in general, then zero in on the details that will make them meaningful for their users as well as for the organizations offering them.

Participants in the June 17 Virtual Summit will explore:

• How ready and able your organization is to support wellness lifestyles, using results from the ICAA Wellness Readiness Survey.

• Lessons learned from program developers – following case studies on the challenges and successes of reinventing wellness programs, and of delivering programs that meet goals and garner participation.

• Examples of successful programs, with details on why they worked.

• Why and how to track outcomes and share them with participants, colleagues and management.

• How wellness and marketing can work together to promote the program.

What you will receive

Attendees will be given handouts and worksheets to aid in implementing the thoughts shared by presenters.

What you’ll need

The ICAA Virtual Summit is a web-based presentation with live audio. Registered attendees will need a reliable Internet connection. A limited number of telephone lines will be available.
