[UP, UP AND AWAY] Seniors housing market grew in third quarter
NIC MAP Vision has released its third quarter NIC MAP® Market Fundamentals Data, with data showing optimistic key findings, occupancy rates, annual rent growth, annual absorption, annual inventory growth, construction versus inventory, and rolling 4-quarter starts versus inventory.
Among the findings: seniors housing occupancy was 86.5%, up 70 basis points from the previous quarter, and assisted living properties’ average occupancy was 85.1% -- an increase of 80 basis points.
The data were compiled from the current quarter NIC MAP data release that includes data from more than 15,000 seniors housing and care properties in 140 metropolitan markets.
