Whether before or after traditional retirement age, older workers will leave their full-time jobs. In a survey of employers at 240 companies, 74% of employers said they are primarily concerned about experiencing a knowledge drain as older workers retire (ICAA Research Review, 10[6] 2010). There are many factors contributing to early retirement, according to a new study, and a number of these factors are within the control of the employer.
