Aquatic training: how to work the waves by Mary Sanders, M.S., and Nora Constantino, Ph.D.

The diversity of training that water exercise provides succeeds in the treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as general community exercise training. Water exercise can help diminish pain and increase strength, range-of-motion and ability to perform activities of daily living. A key to successful outcomes, especially for people ages 55-plus and individuals with medical conditions, is to provide safe and appropriate training activities.
