Tech Talk: Smart blood glucose meter and app tied to better glycemic control
A retrospective analysis of real-world data from over 144,000 people with diabetes found improved glycemic metrics among those who used a Bluetooth-connected BGM together with a diabetes management digital app. The study's 180-day findings expand on the results from a 90-day timeframe first presented at the 82nd Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association in June 2022, and provide a rationale for possibly encouraging use of the device in active-aging communities.
