Exercise improves life for people with heart failure

When the heart cannot pump enough blood, the condition is called heart failure. Coronary artery disease, hypertension and diabetes are common causes of heart failure (CDC). Excess body weight is also associated with heart failure, found a research team that examined responses to a questionnaire completed by 36,873 women ages 48-83 and 43,487 men ages 45-79 (Circulation: Heart Failure, rapid access, April 7, 2009). The results demonstrated that the higher the body mass index and waist circumference, the higher the risk for heart failure.
