Stereotypes negatively impact older adults' memory

Among Baby Boomers, jokes are rampant about “senior moments”—those brief lapses of memory experienced by many in middle age. Researchers wondered if older adults who believed they would lose their memory as they aged would, in fact, have poorer memories.
