Frequent intellectual activities fend off memory decline

The authors of a new study referenced a past investigation, which found that people ages 75 and older who regularly played board or card games, played musical instruments, danced, or read books and newspapers reduced their risk of developing dementia (The New England Journal of Medicine, 348[25] June 2003). Their ongoing research builds on that finding.
