Leisure trumps work when a financial windfall arrives

Will Baby Boomers retire around age 65, or won’t they? Surveys have shown that Boomers expect to retire, and then don’t (ICAA Research Review, 9[9] March 2009) and are delaying retirement by working longer (ICAA Research Review, 9[18] May 2009). The reasons for working post-65 may be the need or desire for money as well as personal satisfaction. What happens to work plans when a large amount of money arrives?
