Eat Mediterranean for heart health

Last year, data from 23,000 people in Greece who were participants in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition study showed that the Mediterranean eating pattern that favors vegetables, fruits, nuts and fish over meat reduced the risk of death (ICAA Research Review, 9[23] 2009). Another study of the participants in Spain associated the Mediterranean eating style with heart disease.
