Independent living communities gain in favor among older adults

In a recent analysis, 30% of adults ages 63-73 years old had moved residences at least once in the prior 12 years. People who were single and educated were more likely to move; those who were older and female were less inclined to do so (ICAA Research Review, 9[36] 2009). A separate survey asked a slightly older age group about their interest in living in independent living communities.
