Social activity and physical activity counteract depression

Depression is common, according to the World Health Organization, felt by about 121 million people worldwide. Depression is characterized by feelings of sadness or low self-worth, loss of interest or pleasure, low energy and poor concentration. Beside the personal toll, depression is the fourth leading cause of the global burden of disease (2000).
