Bike racks and colleagues inspire active commuting
One of the solutions to increasing physical activity is “active commuting,” which means walking or biking to work. Last year, results from the CARDIA study found that active commuting reduced cardiovascular risk factors in a population of 2,364 people (Archives of Internal Medicine,69[13]:1216-1223, 2009).
