Dollars change, but reasons remain for choosing age-targeted housing

In 2009, a report on housing trends in the 55+ market from the MetLife Mature Market Institute and the National Association of Home Builders (ICAA Research Review 9[17] May 2009) showed that new owners choosing age-qualified communities were moving into larger homes to be near family and friends. A newly released update suggests that adult-only communities are still a draw, but the marketplace is changing.
