Hip fractures hardest on quality of life, and on costs
The European Congress on Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis has just ended, and researchers from around the world presented their findings. Bone loss from osteoporosis can result in fractures, either from no apparent cause (as occurs with vertebral fractures in the spine) or from a trauma, such as a fall.
