Attention focuses on sedentary lifestyle as a distinct health risk factor
As reported in the last issue of ICAA Research Review (11[25] July 2011), the American Academy of Sports Medicine updated position stand on exercise for apparently healthy adults says that sedentary behavior (basically, sitting) is a health risk that is not compensated for by physical activity, which means planned exercise is needed.
