Boomers support children, parents and maybe themselves
Retire or not? Adequate savings or not? Amidst all the questions people in middle ages face when it comes to finances, they are certain about financial support of family members. A study reported in ICAA Research Review (12[6] February 2012) showed that Baby Boomer parents felt responsible for financially supporting their children through college. A separate survey indicates parents are still providing financial support after college.
