Mediterranean diet lowers risk of heart attack and stroke
As noted in the introduction to a new study, the Mediterranean eating pattern that emphasizes vegetables, fruits, olive oil and nuts, moderate fish and poultry intake and little meat and dairy foods has been shown in previous research to reduce the risk of heart disease. But what factors of the diet might be related to cardiovascular health?
