Pessimism might help health, too

Optimism is a feeling of hopefulness and confidence in the future, a belief that there will be positive outcomes. Pessimism, on the other hand, is the tendency to assume that bad things will happen, accompanied by a lack of hope and confidence. How do these opposite feelings impact life satisfaction—and health?
