Cognitive decline slowed or reversed
A person with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) may have problems with memory and a noticeable decline in cognitive ability, but is still able to function in day-to-day activities. Mild cognitive impairment is considered a risk factor for progress to dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The authors of a new study wondered if people who were diagnosed with MCI could return to normal cognition.
