Better lifestyle choices lower risk of stroke
Earlier this year in ICAA Research Review No. 10, it was reported that people who adhered to the American Heart Association’s Simple 7 lifestyle goals (physical activity, healthy weight, healthy diet, healthy cholesterol levels, normal blood pressure, controlled blood sugar levels and not smoking) reduced their risk of cancer. A new report states that even a small improvement in meeting these goals also reduces the risk of stroke.
