Technology, yes. Pay for it? Not so much.
In an earlier issue of ICAA Research Review (13[4] February 2013), 72% of 119 volunteers who had motion detectors placed in their homes said they accepted the monitoring and were willing to share data with family members or their doctors. However, they also noted concerns about privacy and security (Gerontechnology,11[3]:428-435). While technology may be accepted, will people pay for it?
