Investors feel prospects are good for seniors housing real estate
As noted in the recent “Housing America’s Older Adults—Meeting the Needs of an Aging Population” (Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies and AARP Foundation), summarized in the ICAA Research Review No. 27 two weeks ago, the number of people 50 years and older is expected to grow to 132 million by 2030, which requires that the supply of age appropriate housing also increase. Are developers heeding the demographic shift?
