LGBT adults with dementia face unique challenges

A recently released Issue Brief from the Alzheimer's Association and SAGE (Advocacy & Services for LGBT Elders) outlines the difficulties faced by LGBT older adults living with Alzheimer's and other dementias and their caregivers. Rates of dementia among the LGBT population are about 7.4%.
