Stats: Up to 7,500 daily steps can curb mortality in older women
Many wearable devices that track the number of steps a person takes each day come pre-programmed with a daily goal of 10,000 steps - a quasi- "magical" number that can be daunting for many people, especially those who are older, according to researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
