Gratitude key to managing stress, relationships at work

Giving and receiving praise in the workplace is a key to managing day-to-day stress and can enhance performance under pressure, a new study reveals. Teammates who thanked each other before performing a high-stress task had a better cardiovascular response compared to teams who did not express gratitude. According to the study authors, the enhanced cardiovascular response leads to increased concentration and more confidence, allowing individuals to give their peak performance.
