Better suicide prevention campaigns needed for older adults

Older adults have the highest rates of suicide in the US, but most well-known national suicide prevention organizations do not have easily accessible prevention resources targeting this population, a recent study suggests. The findings highlight the urgent need for suicide-prevention efforts that address the unique healthcare needs of older adults, according to the authors -- something for active-aging organizations to be aware of.
